【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=청주대학교(총장 김윤배)는 디지털미디어디자인학과 제3회 졸업전시회를 21일까지 청주시문화산업진행재단 동부창고 6동 갤러리에서 개최하고 있다고 20일 밝혔다.

 지난 16일부터 진행된 이번 디지털미디어디자인학과 졸업전시회는 ‘차원n-서로 다른 차원을 가진 우리가 만나, 새로운 차원으로 끝없이 확장하는 우리’라는 주제로 36명의 졸업의 졸업 예정자들이 참여해 디지털 시대에 각자의 정체성을 디지털 차원으로 새롭게 해석해 정해지지 않고 확장해 가는 각자의 모습을 작품에 담았다. 

 디지털미디어디자인학과는 사람과 인간 중심의 경험을 바탕으로 사람, 사람과 기계, 기계와 기계 사이의 관계를 이해하고 이들 간의 상호작용을 통해 새로운 방식의 방법론을 풀어나갔다.

 이번 졸업전시회는 사회적 약자, 정신질환, 소셜미디어, 초등학교 교육의 현실성 등 현실사회에서 주목받지 못한 다양한 주제를 디지털 기술을 통해 새로운 가능성을 모색했다.

 장성복 청주대 디지털미디어디자인학과장은 “우리 사회가 고민해야 할 다양한 사회 문제들은 학생들이 심도 있게 문제를 찾고 해석하여 방향성을 제시했다는 점에서 의미 있는 전시다”라고 말했으며, 김양호 교수는 “기성세대가 의식하지 못한 참신함과 디지털 기술을 이용한 해결방식은 새로운 ‘창발성’(남이 모르거나 하지 아니한 것을 처음으로 또는 새롭게 밝혀내거나 이루어 내는 성질)을 보여주었다”라고 평가했다.
