【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충청북도교육청(교육감 윤건영)이 20일, S컨벤션에서 ‘민주시민교육 배움나눔회’를 진행했다.

이번 배움나눔회는 민주시민교육 연구회, 연구학교, 네트워크 소속 교원 등의 관심 있는 교원 및 교육전문직원 50여명이 참석해 현장 사례 공유하고 실천 사례 발표와 참가들의 토론을 통해 민주시민교육 활성화에 앞장섰다.

먼저, 사례 발표 시간에는 학생참여 공간 프로젝트를 통해 민주시민교육 플랫폼을 구축한 연수초와 증평여중 사례로 시작되었고, 소통과 토론을 통한 공간 구축 및 활용 과정을 소개했다.

이어서, 3개 이상 교과의 3명 이상의 교사가 팀을 이루어 융합 프로젝트 학습을 진행하는 ‘함께바꿈 사회참여 프로젝트 학습’을 진행한 갈원초-복대초, 충주중, 보은여고의 사례 발표로 학교급별 다양한 프로젝트 학습 아이디어를 공유했다. 

또한, 메타버스를 활용한 민주시민교육 사례는 각리초, 삼양초, 동이초의 연구학교 운영 결과로 디지털 시대 민주시민교육의 가능성을 제시했으며, 연구회와 네트워크 교사들이 자발적 기획으로 공동 구축한 민주시민교육 메타버스 맵을 선보이고 발전 방안을 모색했다. 

이정훈 인성시민과장은 “미래사회 시민으로서 필요한 자기주도성과 공동체 역량, 더불어 살아가는 능력을 기르는 시민성 교육이 이루어질 수 있도록 민주시민교육 활동의 공유와 네트워크 확장을 위해 힘쓰겠다.”고 밝혔다.
