【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=증평군보건소는 내년 1월부터 지역 내 대학생에게 감염병 예방을 위해 실습 전 예방접종 및 결핵검사에 필요한 비용을 지원한다고 밝혔다.

지원 기준은 지역 소재 대학에 재학 중인 병원 실습을 요하는 대학생이며, 신청일 기준 현재 증평군에 1년 이상 주민등록을 둔 학생이다.

지원받고자 하는 학생은 병·의원에서 예방접종과 결핵 검사 완료 후 1년 이내 소속학과 행정실이나 보건소로 지원 신청서와 구비서류를 제출하면 된다.

한편 이번 사업은 지난 8월 개최된 이재영 군수와 지역 청년들의 소통간담회에서 한 학생이 건의해 추진된 것으로 눈길을 끌고 있다.

당시 학생은 “지역 내 대학생들의 직업역량 강화 및 직장체험 기회 제공에 앞서 감염병 예방을 위한 예방접종비 및 검사비를 지원해 취업지원 서비스 제공은 물론 청년의 권익증진을 도모해 주길 바란다”고 의견을 제시했다.

이를 들은 이 군수는 곧바로 보건소에 해당 사업 검토를 요청했고 보건소도 긍정적으로 검토해 내년도 예산에 반영해 추진하게 됐다.

이재영 군수는 “이번 사업을 통해 전입장려 지원 및 부모의 경제적 부담을 덜어 주어 건강한 지역인재를 확보할 것으로 기대된다”며, “앞으로도 청년들과 지속적인 소통을 통해 미래자원인 지역인재 육성에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
