【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충주시의회(의장 박해수)가 20일 난방 취약가구의 어려움을 함께 나누며 따뜻한 겨울을 만들기 위해 사랑의 연탄나눔 봉사에 나섰다.

작년에 이어 실시한 이번 봉사는 의원들이 솔선하여 지역사회 봉사활동에 참여함으로써 봉사의 가치를 되새기고 기부문화 확산에 기여하여 이웃사랑 실천을 도모하고자 마련되었다.

의원 19명이 연탄 1,100장을 용산동과 교현2동 홀몸어르신 가구에 전달하고 추운 겨울을 잘 보낼 수 있도록 가정환경과 난방상태도 확인했다.

박해수 의장은 “오늘 전달된 연탄을 통해 어려운 이웃들이 따뜻한 겨울을 보내시길 바란다”며, “앞으로도 지역에 어려운 이웃이 없도록 계속 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
