【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=옥천군은 15일 오후 4시 군청 대회의실에서 ‘아이 낳고 기르기 좋은 옥천만들기’ 범군민협의회 출범식을 개최했다.

이날 출범식은 황규철 군수와 박한범 군의장을 비롯해 지역의 기관단체장들이 참석한 가운데 범군민협의회 출범 배경과 역할에 대한 보고, 옥천군의 인구위기 극복을 위한 결의문 낭독, ‘아이 낳고 기르기 좋은 옥천만들기’ 기원 퍼포먼스 등의 순으로 진행됐다.

범군민협의회는 옥천교육지원청, 옥천군가족센터, 옥천군여성단체협의회, 대한적십자사봉사회옥천지구협회, 옥천군자원봉사센터, 옥천군기업인연합회, 옥천군이장협의회 등 지역의 76개 기관단체로 구성됐다. 

앞으로 범군민협의회는 아이가 태어나면 지역사회가 함께 키울 수 있는 출산‧돌봄 친화 환경 마련을 위해 임신·출산·돌봄 친화 문화 조성, 일-가정 양립 제도 확산, 인구문제 해결 공동대응 및 사회분위기 조성 등에 앞장설 예정이다. 

황규철 옥천군수는 “인구문제는 우리가 당면한 가장 중요하고도 시급한 현안”이라며 “저출생, 인구감소는 단기간에 해결할 수 있는 문제는 아니지만, 민관이 함께 참여한 범군민협의회가 저출생, 인구감소 위기 극복을 위해 ‘아이 낳고 기르기 좋은 옥천만들기’에 앞장서 주시길 바란다”고 말했다.

한편 옥천군은 저출생, 인구감소에 대응하기 위하여 맞춤형 출산 지원사업(산후조리비용 지원, 산후영영제 지원 등), 양질의 양육환경 조성(옥천형 아이돌봄 지원, 공동육아나눔터 운영, 행복교육 택시 지원 등), 청년 주거·결혼 지원사업(청년 행복주택 건립, 청년 전월세 지원, 결혼정착금 지원 등) 등 다양한 생애주기별 맞춤형 인구정책을 추진하고 있다.
